Stained Glass Sidelights Let More Light Into Fort Worth Homes

Stained Glass Sidelights Let More Light Into Fort Worth Homes

Fort Worth, Texas is an area that is filled with many beautiful homes and proud homeowners. Many of these homeowners searched hard and long for the perfect house. Some had their homes built from scratch, to their personal specifications. But no matter how carefully you search, or how detailed your design, sometimes when you move into a home, you find there are some things lacking.

Many Fort Worth homeowners would like more light in the entryways. And just how do we know? Because here at Fort Worth Stained Glass, we get lots of calls asking us about how to either add more light to their entryways, more privacy to their entryways, or how to add more light without sacrificing any privacy.

And we have what we believe is the perfect solution. The Fort Worth stained glass solution!

One way to achieve more privacy without any loss of light is with the installation of stained glass sidelights. Homes usually will have either one or two sidelights on either side of the front door, and many homeowners love the light they provide, but don’t like the idea that people can look inside their homes. Other homeowners simply want to make their entryway more inviting, more welcoming, more distinctive and more beautiful.

Stained glass sidelights fit the bill on all counts, providing more natural light without compromising privacy. What we are saying is that even if your home did not come with sidelights, if there is enough room on either side of your front door, they can be added. And if there is no room for sidelights, don’t despair. An age old solution is to add what’s called a transom window above your front door.

When Fort Worth stained glass clients contact us concerning either more light for their entryways, another suggestion we make is to have a stained glass panel for the front door as well. Matching, custom designed stained glass in the door and sidelights makes for an entryway that screams class and good taste. Okay, maybe it doesn’t scream, but it definitely makes a stunning statement.

Adding light to a dark entryway with stained glass sidelights, front doors, and transoms is one of our most popular projects. Take a look at some of the lovely sidelights and entryways we have designed for previous Fort Worth stained glass clients, and then, imagine your own home with this special kind of art! (You can click on any of these photos to enlarge it and get a closer look at the detail.) Which entryway style do you prefer? The solid wood door set off by lovely, translucent stained glass panels on all sides? Or the entryways where the door gets the stained glass treatment as well?

All our stained glass work is custom designed to your tastes, so whichever way you choose to let more light into your entryway (or any other part of your home), we hope you will let Fort Worth Stained Glass earn your valued business!
