Stained glass designs that will fit any budget.

One of the biggest misconceptions about custom stained glass is that it must be only for the uber-rich, that the average Fort Worth homeowner could never afford it. This is quite far from the truth.

It’s partly the word “custom” itself that gives rise to this misconception. And every piece of stained glass we make is, indeed, custom to our client’s needs, tastes, preferences, and . . . budget!

Stained glass windows come in all different designs, colors, sizes, and prices as well. The more detailed the designs, the more costly the window becomes. However, with our years of expertise, we can take an existing idea and modify that idea to make it affordable for anybody’s price range.

When it comes to your stained glass budget, there are two main factors you need to consider.

The first is the size of the windows themselves. Obviously, if you want stained glass for a smallish bathroom window, it will be much less costly than if you want stained glass for an entire bay window and matching glass patio doors. That’s just common sense.

However, even if you have your heart set on doing that big bay window, there are still ways of bringing down the price so that it falls neatly into your stained glass budget. The other main factor in costing a piece of stained glass is the pattern chosen. It’s the number of pieces of glass and lead that are required to be hand cut, hand assembled, hand soldered at the many, many joints, etc.

So the simple method of lowering the price of a custom stained glass panel is to choose a design with less pieces. Less pieces equals less labor cost, sometimes by a dramatic amount. Our experienced designers can take a complex design with hundreds of pieces and simplify it, while keeping the same style and same flavor to the piece.

Of course, glass comes in a wide variety of prices as well, but unless you are doing massive windows, the choice of glass doesn’t usually make that big of a dent in the cost. And if you do choose the most exorbitant, lux, priceless glass on the market, our designers can steer you to a less costly but equally pretty choice.

Whether your stained glass budget is champagne, soda, or only tap water, you might just be surprised at how affordable many of our designs can be. In fact, you might pick a simpler design to save money, and when it’s costed out you might discover you can make it more complicated. Or, you might discover that simple is the look you are happy with and it’s what works the best in your home.

Take a look at our gallery of stained glass projects. You will see many different styles, from the simple to the complex. We are positive one of them will fit your budget and your tastes.
